Men’s Health Physiotherapy

Prostate cancer is the second most diagnosed cancer globally. One of the treatments for prostate cancer is radical prostatectomy. Unfortunately, up to 60% of men can experience urinary incontinence after the surgery. While urinary incontinence improves over time, some men can still experience the symptoms 2 years later. Pelvic floor muscle training has been shown to improve urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy. Using real-time ultrasound, physiotherapist can assess how the pelvic floor muscle function and provide visualisation of the muscle movements for pelvic floor muscle training.
